Job Summary

As our highly valued People Advisor based in Brisbane youll partner with leaders and team members to deliver trusted advice seamless People Services and practical solutions that support our people throughout every stage of the employee lifecycle. This is an 11-month max term contract.

From onboarding and employee relations to governance and continuous improvement youll help create a consistent compliant and people-first experience across Great Southern Bank.

Youll make an impact by:

  • Delivering responsive customer-focused People Services across the employee lifecycle including onboarding employment changes and offboarding
  • Providing trusted advice to leaders and team members on People policies procedures employment conditions Enterprise Agreement provisions and People systems
  • Coaching leaders to confidently manage day-to-day people matters including performance probation attendance and other employee relations matters
  • Coordinating employment variations promotions secondments transfers and other employee lifecycle activities while maintaining accurate People records
  • Managing employee data governance requirements and Employee Due Diligence activities to support compliance and operational excellence
  • Preparing People reporting and identifying trends risks and opportunities to improve policies processes and self-service capability
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives employee engagement activities and broader People & Culture projects
  • Building trusted relationships across the business to deliver practical consistent and people-focused solutions

This is more than a traditional HR advisory role. Youll be at the centre of our People Operations function partnering with leaders and team members to deliver exceptional People Services while helping shape a great employee experience.

To succeed in this role youll have:

  • Experience in Human Resources People Services People Operations or a similar advisory role
  • Experience managing employee lifecycle activities and providing practical advice to leaders on a range of people matters
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation HR policies and employee relations practices
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to build trusted relationships across the business
  • Experience using HR systems and preparing reports to support compliance workforce planning and decision-making
  • A proactive solutions-focused approach with strong judgement and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources Business Industrial Relations or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
