Patient Finance Officer

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Patient Finance Officer to join our team on a full time 12 month contract basis. This is a super varied role that is responsible for quoting payments invoicing and lodging of all patient services.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Preparation of fee estimates
• Keeping invoicing system up to date with provider numbers for Geneas day surgery units & treating doctors
• Lodging claims to medicare & health funds
• Processing payments for all invoices raised
• Liaising with credit control over payments to chase and health fund payments
• Phoneemail and sms queries

Qualifications :

This role will suit a good alrounder someone who has solid administration experience and enjoys variety in their work. The patient finance team provides key support internally as well as to our patients you must be someone who works collaboratively and really cares about what you do. 

To be successful you will have; 

• Strong administration experience with some exposure to finance. 
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your approach to work
• Working knowledge of Medicare processes and rules preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a positive flexible attitude
