Patient Care Registered Nurse Operations
Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and adaptable Registered Nurses to join Montu and support patients throughout their medical journey at our Alternaleaf Clinic. This role offers a development pathway within our Patient Care - RN function commencing with approximately 3 months focused on structured telehealth assessment consultations before progressing into a broader scope of complex patient support responsibilities.
You will conduct telehealth assessments support patients through treatment expectations and build strong knowledge of our patient journey systems and medicinal cannabis framework. Following onboarding and demonstrated performance the role will expand to include more complex patient interactions such as clinical escalations adverse event follow-up complaint resolution pharmacy-related concerns and clinical investigations.
This is a fully remote opportunity suited to emotionally intelligent nurses who thrive in fast-paced structured telehealth environments and are looking to further develop their clinical judgement and patient support experience.
Initial Training & Onboarding Phase
During the first approximately 3 months you will focus on structured telehealth assessment consultations and building confidence within our systems workflows and patient journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting high-volume telehealth assessment consults
- Completing structured patient assessments and clinical documentation
- Providing empathetic patient education and support
- Liaising with prescribers and the wider Patient Care team
- Responding to patient enquiries and escalating concerns appropriately
- Working within a structured KPI-driven telehealth environment
Ongoing Responsibilities Following Training:
Following successful onboarding and demonstrated performance the role will expand to include more complex patient support responsibilities including:
- Managing clinical escalations and complex patient interactions
- Supporting patients with dosing concerns adverse reactions and pharmacy-related queries
- Conducting triage investigations and complaint resolution
- Collaborating with prescribers and cross-functional support teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational processes
- Managing sensitive patient conversations with professionalism and empathy
Roster:
This is a full-time remote position working a structured 5-day roster between Monday-Saturday 9am - 5pm AEST/AEDT including one Saturday per month.
Please note part-time arrangements are not available and limited flexibility is available during the onboarding and training period.
Qualifications :
Were looking for resilient adaptable nurses who are passionate about patient care and interested in developing broader clinical operations experience within a telehealth environment.
Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions
- Minimum 3 years post-graduate clinical nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in chronic disease management
- Previous telehealth or virtual care experience highly regarded
- Strong emotional regulation and ability to manage complex patient interactions professionally
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong IT proficiency and confidence navigating multiple systems
- Ability to work effectively within structured workflows and KPI environments
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Mental health nursing and/or medicinal cannabis experience highly regarded
