What We Offer:

  • EarningPotential: $105000 -$115000

  • Including reasonableovertimeloadingandgenerous allowances inclusive of super

  • $37.0866- $39.8477 per hourdepending on skills and experience

  • Tool Allowance: $17.90 payable weekly

  • Attendance Allowance: $32 payable on rostered worked hours

  • Annual Leave: loading of 17.5%

Role Responsibilities:

This role requires a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include

  • Assess damage to the bus body panels andstructuresprovidingaccurateestimates for repair work

  • Remove and replace damagedpanels hoods fenders and other body components using hand and power tools

  • Straighten and repair bent or damaged frame and body structure ensuring itcomplies withOEM specifications

  • Perform welding and fabrication work as needed to restore structure

  • Blend and finish repaired areas to prepare for painting ensuring a smooth and uniform finish

  • Undertaking the preparation and cleaning of all surfaces prior to any paint application taking placethis may include filinggrindingand sanding the body of a vehicle to restore a smooth vehiclesurface

  • Provide all body structural accident damage and associated repairs service and maintenance to vehicles asrequired. Work on associated components to complete whole tasks within the skill level of the position

  • Provide maintenance preparation replacement and repairs to all vehicle body components panels frames and door systems

  • Manufacture service and fit vehicle components constructed from such materials as aluminum timber steel stainless steel glass fiberglasssealingand bonding materials

  • Demonstrating and maintainingclean workshop practices in your day-to-day role and ensuring that these practices meet thehigh standardsheld by the Workshops team

  • Ensuring that all maintenance and repairs are performed according to company policies and procedures and are recorded on the designated forms and documents provided

  • Maintaining and performing all workshop practices in a manner that adheres to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations

The Successful Applicant Will:

  • Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential

  • Certificatelllin Automotive Body Repair Technology

  • Proven experience as a Body Builder/Panel Beater particular with larger vehicles

  • Have experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles (training provided to develop these skills)

  • Strong knowledge of the bus bodyconstruction andrepair techniques including welding and metalworking

  • Ensure adherence and understanding to WHS regulations and relevant company policies

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Have experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules

  • Apply a proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement

  • Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role

  • Be an Australian Citizen Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia

  • Hold a current Unrestricted Australiandriverslicenceissued by the relevant State

Highly Regarded but Not Necessary:

  • Medium Rigid (MR) or aboveAustraliandriverslicence
