Job Summary
Capital SMART is Australia and New Zealands leading accident repair network with 60 sites and a reputation for delivering repairs to the highest standard. Were looking for an experienced Paint Prepper to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
The Role
Youll be the critical link between panel repair and the spray booth responsible for getting every vehicle prepped to a standard that allows our painters to deliver a flawless finish.
What youll be doing:
- Sanding filling and shaping repaired panels to a smooth finish
- Applying and blocking body filler and primers
- Masking vehicles in preparation for painting
- Identifying and addressing surface imperfections before paint application
- Working closely with panel beaters and painters to keep jobs moving
- Maintaining a clean safe workspace and completing job documentation
What were looking for:
- Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or Panel Prepper in a smash repair environment
- Solid knowledge of sanding filling priming and masking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently within a production repair process
- Strong eye for detail you know what a good prep job looks like
- Reliable safety-conscious and a team player
- Full working rights in Australia
