The Student Experience Directorate brings together specialists across Future Students Outreach Student Enquiries Student Transition Scholarships Student Support and Careers working together to inspire guide and support students from their first interaction with the University through to graduation and beyond. Your New Role!
As the Outreach Officer (STEM) youll inspire the next generation of students to explore pathways in STEM and higher education through innovative and engaging outreach programs. Focusing on Mathematics Physical Sciences Engineering and IT youll develop and deliver hands-on workshops events and experiences for secondary school students across Western Australia.
Working collaboratively with academics researchers schools industry partners and Student Ambassadors youll build strong stakeholder relationships and create impactful programs that spark curiosity broaden aspirations and showcase the opportunities available at Murdoch University. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while helping shape the future STEM workforce.
In this role you will:
Design and deliver engaging STEM outreach programs workshops and events for secondary school students.
Collaborate with academics researchers and Student Ambassadors to create impactful learning experiences.
Build strong relationships with schools teachers and community stakeholders across Western Australia.
Promote STEM pathways and study opportunities at Murdoch University helping students explore their future possibilities.

This Fixed Term (12 Months) Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $93K $112K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What youll bring to the role:
A relevant degree and demonstrated experience in outreach education engagement events or a related field or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders including students educators university staff and community partners.
Experience designing and delivering engaging learning activities workshops or programs with the ability to develop resources that support consistent and high-quality delivery.
Proven experience coordinating events or programs for young people with a strong focus on creating positive and inclusive participant experiences.
Current C Class drivers licence.
