Helping Hands Elimbah is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where youll shape culture drive quality and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.
This is a permanent part-time role (25 hours per week) working across split shifts Monday to Friday.
Service hours include:
- Rise Then Shine: 6:30am 9:00am
- Stay and Play: 2:30pm 6:00pm
- School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am 6:00pm

About Elimbah State School
Helping Hands Elimbah is a passionate and supportive service that provides high-quality care for an average of 75 children each session. Operating within a shared school environment the service has the unique ability to set up and pack down each day allowing educators to create fresh engaging and responsive play spaces tailored to childrens interests and needs.
The service prides itself on the strong partnerships built between the school community families and the wider local community all working hand in hand to support the growth wellbeing and development of every child. About your new role
As an Assistant Coordinator youll help lead a team of passionate Educators and oversee an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:
- Design and help lead a vibrant childcentred program filled with engaging experiences such as STEM sport cooking arts and crafts.
- Assist with rosters daily operations compliance and administration.
- Build a positive inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported motivated and proud of the program they deliver.
- Partner with families the school community and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
- Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager so youre never doing it alone.
Qualifications :
Who are we looking for
We can teach you about the job and sector but a few basics you need to have:
- Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
- National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
- Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
- Has Australian work rights
