The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Planner to join our Welded Products team in Port Kembla. As part of BlueScopes Australian Steel Products business our operations support critical steelmaking processes that deliver high-quality products to domestic and export markets.
Reporting to the Welded Products Site Leader this role is responsible for developing and managing production plans whilst optimising plant productivity and operational performance. This is a great opportunity for someone with planning scheduling or manufacturing experience who enjoys solving complex problems leading operational teams and influencing operational outcomes.
This role is a Day Shift role working Monday Friday (Overtime Eligible).
What Will You Do
As a valued leader within the team you will be:
- develop and execute production plans to deliver customer orders safely efficiently and on time.
- lead and support frontline teams to achieve strong safety quality and performance outcomes.
- coach and develop team capability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- drive operational reviews and improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer service.
- partner with Operations Supply Chain and Logistics teams to align production capacity with customer demand.
- use data and operational insights to solve problems improve processes and drive sustainable results.
More About You
You will be a proactive and organised professional with strong analytical and communication skills along with:
- experience in manufacturing or a similar industrial environment
- proven problem-solving and process improvement capability
- experience working with data analysis reporting and planning systems
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems
- the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple stakeholders
