Operations Manager (PM Shift) Multiuser Prestons NSW
The Role
Please note this role is aligned to the PM shift working hours from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Your role will be to supervise and manage the daily operations and develop the 3rd party distribution centre of the Multi User DC and associated distribution activities so that people and equipment are employed efficiently and the warehousing and distribution activities are performed safely accurately and in accordance with customer requirements.
This is a role where leadership customer excellence and operational efficiency all come together and you will need to drive high standards whilst ensuring the site is being run safely and efficiently.
As the Operations Manager you will:
Plan and coordinate activities for the Multi User DC month-to-month to achieve results and standards.
Provide direct leadership to effectively deploy innovative practices and technologies leading to significant growth.
Maximise profitability through leading performance of an end-to-end work and operational processes.
Lead and drive weekly monthly and quarterly plans for the operations function so that it has sufficient resources to achieve its agreed objectives and customer outcomes
Manage compliance health & safety and people matters and overall standards.
Plan and implement operational and other necessary change initiatives at business site level to improve Business Unit profitability and productivity.
Be a influential leader driving team engagement by encouraging input recognising performance and empowering team members to take responsibility for outcomes building a strong team ethos that facilitates continuous improvement and the creation of a high performing team culture.
About You
Minimum 5 years in Logistics or warehouse management at a similar level.
Proven Management experience in transport or 3PL related industry.
Previous experience in managing a complex industrial environment.
Be data driven with a strong data skilled background.
Strong Leadership Skills to manage and mentor the team.
Experience in managing warehouse and or logistics technology and driving operational improvements.
Certificate or Diploma in Warehousing / business administration or related discipline.
Ability to Drive the TOLL Safety obsessed strategy. Actively participate in the TOLL Incident & Injury free (IIF) program.
