Steel Builders Group has recently established operations in our purpose-built 11000m² facility in Glendenning and were looking for an experienced Operations Execution Manager to help lead our next stage of growth.

This is more than an operations management role. Its an opportunity to shape the future of our NSW business by executing strategy developing people improving performance and building a high-performing operation.

Reporting to the Head of Operations NSW youll be a visible leader on the groundsupporting the team driving accountability solving problems and ensuring our strategic priorities are translated into operational success. Youll play a key role in building capability within the existing team while helping position the business for continued growth.

About the role

As our Operations Execution Manager youll be responsible for executing the business strategy by leading day-to-day operations and delivering strong operational performance.

Working closely with leaders across the business youll establish clear performance expectations set and manage KPIs drive accountability and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Youll identify opportunities to improve productivity solve operational challenges and ensure the business is well positioned to achieve both its strategic objectives and daily operational goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute the operational strategy to achieve business objectives
  • Lead coach and develop leaders and operational teams
  • Establish monitor and manage KPIs while driving accountability across the business
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture across all operations
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical sustainable solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity quality and efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver strategic and operational outcomes
  • Build a high-performing engaged and accountable team
  • Support business growth through strong operational leadership

About you

Youll be an experienced operational leader who enjoys being close to the action building strong teams and creating lasting improvements.

Youll bring:

  • A demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Experience working in heavy industries such as manufacturing heavy fabrication engineering crane building or similar industrial environments (steel manufacturing or heavy fabrication experience is highly regarded but not essential)
  • Proven leadership and coaching experience with the ability to set clear expectations establish accountability and follow through to achieve results
  • Experience leading teams through change growth and continuous improvement
  • Strong experience setting and managing KPIs to improve operational performance
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • The ability to influence engage and build strong relationships across all levels of the business
  • A proactive mindset with the drive to identify opportunities and deliver results
