About the team and role:
The Property Services team creates safe and welcoming environments for all Deakin staff students and the community by ensuring clean and highly maintained environments and facilities across all campuses. The team also manages Deakins transport fleet parking key access and furniture relocations ensuring the needs of the University community are met.
The position is predominantly a desk-based role providing administrative and financial support to the Campus Experience team in the delivery of high quality and connected suite of Parking Fleet and Transport services to Deakin University.
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Property Services the Officer Parking and Transport Administration will work closely with the Property Services team to:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to students staff and the wider Deakin community providing information services and advice in relation to parking fleet and transport matters.
- Provide efficient and effective administration of parking fleet and transport operations.
- Undertake vehicle condition audits and assist with motor vehicle acquisition/disposal maintenance accident management and the day to day operation of the Universitys motor vehicle fleet.
To be successful youll have:
- A degree associate diploma with 2 years relevant experience post-trades/advanced certificate with extensive technician experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Proven experience in administrative roles within a large complex organisation.
- Strong experience handling enquiries and resolving issues through face-to-face phone and written communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced diverse workplace while managing competing priorities.
- Experience delivering services and operational support within a large organisation following established policies and procedures.
