Because this is a newly created position there is significant flexibility to help structure your workflow caseload and day-to-day routine in a way that works well for both you and the clinic. The clinic manager is very approachable open-minded and receptive to suggestions making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy and would like to help build something meaningful from the ground up.
Over time there may also be the opportunity to assist with mentoring or supervising future Occupational Therapists as the service continues to grow although this is entirely optional and not a requirement of the role.
About the Role
You will be working across a mixed caseload and therefore must be comfortable operating as a generalist Occupational Therapist.
The caseload is expected to include a combination of:
Adults and paediatrics
Community and clinic-based work
Functional and general OT assessments
A broad range of presentations and conditions
You may occasionally be required to travel outside the clinic for community visits schools aged care facilities or client appointments therefore a drivers licence will be required.
This role would suit an Occupational Therapist who:
