Occupational Therapist

Part-Time Position

1 Day per Week (08:00- 16:00)

This role lets you make a real impact through high-quality evidence-based Occupational Therapy grounded in resident-centred holistic care. Youll assess residents physical and psychosocial functioning guiding their capacity for everyday activities and work closely with themand those important to themto shape meaningful goal-driven care.

Using your expertise in routines roles and activity analysis youll design and deliver engaging holistic therapy programs that boost autonomy well-being and quality of lifehelping residents participate in activities that matter most to them.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist within Aegis no day will look the same! You will benefit from a diverse caseload that allows you to apply a broad range of your core skills including but not limited to:

• Seating and postural management
• Pressure management
• Fine and gross motor function
• Dementia care
• Cultural diversity
• Equipment provision
• Environmental redesign

• Advocate for residents through supporting choice and mitigating risk processes

• Quality Monitoring practices and Continuous improvement.

To excel at this role you will be supported by a team of Senior Clinicians with the opportunity to participate in peer support activities ensuring opportunities for personal and professional growth.

• Hold a genuine interest in working with older people.
• Passion for enablement and rehabilitation.
• Customer service ethos with focus on providing a comprehensive and meaningful Occupational Therapy service to all residents.
• Have strong attention to detail and solution focussed problem-solving skills.
• An appetite for innovation and continuous improvement
• Well-developed verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and within a team environment.

Essential Requirements

• Occupational Therapy qualification and AHPRA registration.
• Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance
