ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and customer focused Music Administration Assistant to join our Music Department team in a progressive well-resourced and supportive educational environment.
In this role you will play a pivotal part in the smooth day to day operations of the department providing high quality administrative operational and front of house support. As the welcoming face of the Music Office you will assist our students parents and teaching staff by managing instrumental lesson enrolments overseeing instrument hire coordinating AMEB examinations and supporting our busy calendar of concerts and events.
This is a full time year round fixed term contract covering a staff member on parental leave. Ideally this role will commence on Monday 12 October 2026 and conclude in November 2027.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly organised and approachable professional with strong administrative and time management skills. You exercise highly developed interpersonal skills discretion and professionalism in all interactions and are committed to delivering a solutions focused approach.
You will bring adaptability and initiative along with exceptional communication skills while contributing positively to a collaborative school community. Prior experience in a school or music environment is welcome however this is not essential for this role.
Knowledge & Skills
- Previous experience in an administration role preferable within a school and/or music department/business.
- High level interpersonal written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills paired with a professional articulate and welcoming phone manner.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Previous experience with and ability to work with students and Teaching staff in a professional supportive safe and caring manner.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience in database management including TASS Music Monitor or other school management / database systems.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
