Mechanical Fitter – Hydraulic Power Units and Systems

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter Hydraulic Power Units and Systems to join our Production team. The role is currently based at our Kings Park facility and will relocate to our brand-new Marsden Park facility in January 2027.
This is a hands-on workshop role responsible for the assembly of hydraulic power units and systems. Working from engineering drawings hydraulic schematics and technical specifications you will complete hydraulic system builds from initial fabrication through to final assembly.
You will work closely with our Production Engineering and Electrical teams to deliver quality work safely and within required production timeframes.
Some of the roles within the role:
Power Unit Manufacturing & Assembly: Manufacture and assemble complete hydraulic power units and systems from engineering drawings hydraulic schematics and technical specifications.
Fabrication & Welding: Some light welding tube bending and other mechanical fabrication required for each build.
Machining: Operate lathes and milling machines to modify and finish components.
Job Management & Productivity: With support of your supervisor - Organise your workload across multiple jobs and keep builds moving to meet production and customer deadlines.
Quality & Equipment: Ensuring the highest quality of work against specifications and ensure tools workshop equipment and your area of work is well maintained and ready for use.
Teamwork & Communication: Work both independently and within a team where required.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years post-trade experience as a Mechanical Fitter Fitter-Machinist Fabricator or similar
- Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or an equivalent mechanical trade qualification
- Proven experience manufacturing and assembling hydraulic power units from initial fabrication through to final assembly
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Preferred but not essential experience with welding tube bending and other associates tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and work effectively with minimal supervision
