Manager, Student Engagement

• Lead strategic student engagement orientation and student voice initiatives that shape the experience of UWA students.
• Drive innovative evidence-based programs that strengthen belonging inclusion leadership and student satisfaction.
• Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.
• Interviews will be held week commencing 26^th October.
• Base salary range: $139660 $147783 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Student Engagement and Belonging Division sits within UWAs Directorate of Student Life and Community and plays a vital role in delivering a world-class student experience. The team leads university-wide orientation transition and engagement initiatives supports international students strengthens student leadership and partnership opportunities and fosters inclusion belonging and community connection across the University. The division works closely with students academic areas residential colleges student associations and key stakeholders to create an engaging welcoming and culturally safe university environment.

About the opportunity

• Lead a high-performing Student Engagement team to deliver student engagement peer mentoring student leadership and student voice initiatives that enhance belonging participation and student success.
• Drive the development and continuous improvement of onboarding orientation communications and programs using student insights engagement data and stakeholder partnerships to improve outcomes.
• Provide strategic advice across the University build influential stakeholder relationships oversee program evaluation and governance and ensure resources are effectively managed to maximise impact.

About you

• Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams fostering a collaborative service-focused culture and driving continuous improvement.
• Significant experience designing implementing and evaluating large-scale student engagement orientation or student voice initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to build strong stakeholder partnerships influence senior leaders and contribute to organisation-wide strategy policy and service improvement.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and project leadership capabilities with experience using evidence feedback and performance measures to enhance service effectiveness.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications and substantial leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education training and professional experience.
