Nyamba Buru Yawuru (NBY) is seeking an experienced and highly capable Manager Insights & Impact to lead the development and implementation of our organisational Planning and Performance Framework. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy performance research evaluation and impact and wants their work to contribute to something meaningful. NBY is the operational company of the Yawuru Native Title Holders Aboriginal Corporation. Based in Broome we deliver a diverse portfolio of initiatives supporting the social cultural environmental and economic aspirations of Yawuru people.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Strategy Research & Policy you will lead the systems and processes that connect NBYs strategic priorities with what happens on the ground. You will bring together organisational planning program performance research evaluation data and reporting to create a clear line of sight between what we do what we achieve and the impact we are creating. Importantly this isnt just about producing reports. Youll work across NBY to embed a culture of learning accountability evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement while ensuring our approach remains culturally grounded and aligned with Yawuru priorities.

What youll lead

In this role you will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of NBYs Planning and Performance Framework connecting strategic planning operational planning research evaluation partnerships and reporting.
  • Build stronger alignment between organisational strategy program delivery research activities and performance measurement.
  • Establish clear measures of success and strengthen the connection between activities outputs outcomes and long-term impact.
  • Lead and coordinate organisational performance and reporting cycles including quarterly annual and strategic reporting.
  • Strengthen the quality consistency and usefulness of organisational data dashboards and reporting systems.
  • Embed evaluation and impact measurement across organisational planning and program delivery.
  • Support implementation of data standards consistent with Yawuru data sovereignty principles.
  • Work closely with NBYs Executive managers and program teams to translate strategic direction into practical organisational systems.
  • Lead and develop the Insights & Impact function including oversight of the Analyst Performance and Analyst Programs roles.
  • Drive continuous improvement so that evidence and insights genuinely inform organisational decision-making.
About you

Were looking for someone who can see the big picture and the detail.

Youll be an analytical and strategic thinker who can take complex ideas and turn them into practical frameworks systems and processes that people can actually use.

Ideally you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in public policy governance business planning evaluation or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in strategic planning performance management evaluation or organisational development.
  • Experience leading complex projects involving multiple teams and competing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of planning monitoring evaluation and reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical conceptual and problem-solving capability.
  • The ability to influence engage and bring people with you through organisational change.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience with government philanthropic and/or partnership reporting environments.
  • An understanding of Aboriginal organisations Indigenous governance and culturally grounded approaches would be highly regarded.
