As a Logistics Planning Analyst you will play a key role in supporting the efficient planning and utilisation of Aurizons locomotive and wagon fleet ensuring operational requirements are met and customer services are delivered reliably.

Working within the Integrated Planning & Commercial team youll provide analytical insights reporting and fleet coordination support while collaborating with stakeholders across operations maintenance and planning functions to optimise fleet performance and drive continuous improvement.

About the role

Reporting to the Integrated Planning Partner you will:

  • Coordinate and maintain locomotive and wagon fleet plans to support operational requirements and service delivery.
  • Identify fleet constraints risks and disruptions and assist in developing solutions to minimise impacts to service delivery.
  • Coordinate fleet movements between maintenance facilities terminals and operating services.
  • Maintain fleet planning data reports and performance information to support operational decision making.
  • Provide analytical reporting and coordination support while identifying opportunities to improve fleet utilisation and operational efficiency.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Logistics Supply Chain Engineering Data Analytics or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in planning logistics fleet management operational analysis or business analysis.
  • A strong ability to interpret complex operational data and translating insights into practical recommendations.
  • Ability to engage and work across multiple functions to gather interpret and model information using your strong analytical reporting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • High level computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SAP experience will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and deliver practical outcomes while balancing competing priorities within a dynamic operational environment.
  • Ability to undertake occasional interstate travel to support fleet activities projects testing programs and stakeholder engagement.
