About the Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Residential Wellbeing Carer / Lifestyle Assistant to join our Residential Aged Care team.

As a Wellbeing Carer you will play an important role in enriching the lives of our residents by planning and delivering engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs that promote independence choice dignity and meaningful social connections.

Working closely with the Wellbeing Manager clinical team and other staff you will support residents in accordance with their individual Leisure Care Plans and contribute to creating a vibrant and engaging community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan coordinate and facilitate meaningful lifestyle leisure and recreational activities.
  • Encourage resident participation while supporting individual choice independence and wellbeing.
  • Deliver activities in accordance with residents Leisure Care Plans.
  • Support residents with personal care where required during activities.
  • Assist with special events celebrations outings and group activities.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing catering maintenance and other multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with activity records and program administration.
  • Contribute to a safe welcoming and inclusive environment for residents and visitors.
  • Comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards Aged Care Code of Conduct workplace policies and Work Health & Safety requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and professional development.
About You

You are a caring energetic and creative individual who enjoys building meaningful relationships with older people and creating engaging experiences that enhance quality of life.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A positive flexible and compassionate approach.
  • Good computer and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or currently working towards).
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR.
  • Experience supporting older people including those living with dementia and responsive behaviours.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
  • Current COVID-19 vaccinations in accordance with organisational requirements.
Desirable
  • Current Influenza vaccination.
  • Experience driving a minibus.
  • Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
