Lecturer (Level B) in Applied Psychology

As a Lecturer (Level B) you will;

• Inspire future practitioners through dynamic teaching across undergraduate psychology and counselling programs.
• Take ownership of key courses designing and delivering high quality learning experiences that challenge support and motivate students.
• Supervise Honours and PhD candidates helping develop the next generation of psychology researchers and professionals.
• Drive educational innovation embedding contemporary knowledge technology and evidence informed approaches into the student experience.
• Help shape the future of the discipline contributing to a collaborative academic culture with strong connections to industry and the community.

This is a continuing part-time (0.50FTE) position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.

Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $117076 - $139031 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136979 - $162667 per annum.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will be a collaborative and student focused academic with a passion for teaching and developing future psychology professionals.

You will also have:

• A PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification in psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated tertiary teaching experience with the ability to engage diverse student cohorts and create inclusive learning environments.
• Experience coordinating courses and contributing to curriculum development with a strong understanding of contemporary learning and assessment practices.
• The capability to supervise and support student research particularly at Honours and/or higher degree research level.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with students colleagues industry partners and the broader community.
• Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA is desirable but not essential.
