Working Hours

  • Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 2:45pm to 6:00pm
  • Plus allocated non-contact time for administration tasks (3 hours a fortnight)
  • Ideal for educators seeking part-time hours that fit around study family or other commitments

As an Educator at our St Josephs Uniting After School Care program youll be an important part of a team providing high-quality early childhood education and care. Youll:

  • Build strong positive relationships with children
  • Support childrens learning development and wellbeing
  • Partner with families and the local community
  • Help deliver engaging educational programs based on approved learning frameworks
  • Support continuous improvement across the service

Our programs are guided by Australias approved learning frameworks:

  • Belonging Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • My Time Our Place: Framework for School Age Care

These frameworks support us in creating engaging environments where every child feels valued confident and empowered to learn and grow.

Your skills and experience
  • Working towards Diploma or Diploma in Childrens Services (or equivalent as approved by Australian Childrens Education and Care Quality Authority).
  • Current First Aid CPR Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check / Working with Vulnerable Persons Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Prior experience working in a kindergarten and / or other early childhood service providing high-quality care and educational services for children.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development.
