Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Casual Kitchen Attendant to join our busy kitchen team at The Coach in Ringwood. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment supporting our chefs to deliver high-quality food and service while maintaining exceptional cleanliness and food safety standards.

The Coach is our newly renovated dining and entertainment complex located in the heart of Ringwood. From the moment you walk into the venue the warmth and friendliness makes you already feel at home.

A modern new Bistro specialising in a family friendly environment offering an extensive a la carte menu whilst delivering quality customer service catering to all. Not to mention the relocation of the Sports Bar with a dedicated menu and a newly developed alfresco area. Making it the perfect place to watch the game or simply enjoy a beverage relax and unwind.

About Us

Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG) is the hospitality arm of the Melbourne Racing Club managing a growing network of 17 pubs clubs and hospitality venues across Victoria. Our venues include bistros sports bars function spaces and gaming areas each focused on delivering great hospitality experiences within their local communities.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Assisting with basic food preparation including chopping peeling and portioning ingredient
  • Washing sanitising and organising kitchen equipment utensils and work areas
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness through daily and deep cleaning tasks
  • Supporting chefs with kitchen operations and following instructions from senior kitchen staff
  • Practising safe food handling and food preparation techniques
  • Managing rubbish disposal and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  • Restocking fridges and ensuring kitchen supplies are readily available
  • Identifying and reporting any safety hazards or compliance concerns

What Were Looking For

  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Previous experience in a large bistro commercial kitchen or high-volume hospitality environment advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Do Food Safely Certificate or willingness to obtain
