Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Junior School Teacher (Prep to Year 4) to join our College community on a full time fixed term basis. This role will commence at the beginning of Term 1 2027 and will conclude at the end of the 2027 school year.
Reporting into the Head of Junior School this role will be responsible for preparing and executing well-planned academically rich and innovative lessons aligned to the Australian Curriculum and the IB PYP framework in a collaborative and progressive primary setting.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Education.
- Current VIT Registration.
- A current knowledge of the Australian Primary Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) framework (preferred).
- Previous experience teaching across years Prep to Year 4 in a Primary Independent School setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning.
- Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Be an active contributor to a collegial work environment.
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
