Job Summary

VACANCY NOTICE IT SYSTEMS OFFICER VIRGINIA

Zerella Fresh is one of Australias largest grower and packers of Carrots Onions and Potatoes supplying Australias leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.

We are currently seeking a motivated IT Systems Officer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis supporting operations at our IT operations from our Head Office in Virginia South Australia.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the IT Systems Administrator you will be supporting an expansive farm environment.

Duties include:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware software network connectivity and user-access issues.
  • Assist with password authentication and access-related issues.
  • Assist users with various software applications in use across the business.
  • Assist employees with system functionality access and basic troubleshooting.
  • Prepare deploy and maintain end user devices (laptops desktops tablets printers etc.).
  • Maintain an accurate register of IT hardware software and associated assets.
  • Coordinate repairs replacements warranties and equipment servicing where required.
  • Create configure and maintain user accounts access permissions email accounts and system profiles.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding IT requirements including account creation equipment allocation access changes and account deactivation.
  • Manage end user device patching software installations and device lifecycle.
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of the organisations computer networks wireless networks internet connections and telecommunications systems.
  • Support reliable connectivity for remote and geographically dispersed agricultural operations.
  • Assist with testing and deployment of new IT systems and applications.
  • Monitor and report suspected cybersecurity incidents phishing attempts unauthorised access or other security concerns.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining IT backup processes.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation including equipment registers system information procedures and user guides.
  • Provide operational support to the IT Systems Administrator as required.
  • All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in IT or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated understanding of LAN and WAN infrastructures.
  • A basic understanding of Windows Server Active Directory User Management Windows 11 smartphones and tablets (Windows / Apple iOS / Android) Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online Entra SharePoint etc)
  • Scripting / Development skills an advantage (PowerShell Python SQL etc)
  • Data analysis skills an advantage (SQL Excel Power Query)
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong organisational skills ability to problem-solve and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Commitment to delivering team goals and the drive to be successful.
  • Full/unrestricted drivers licence (essential).
