About the Role

As the HSW Advisor - Barossa Packaging & Winery you will provide hands-on support to our Barossa operations. Working closely with operational leaders and frontline teams youll spend time on the floor helping to identify and manage risks and embed safe ways of working into day-to-day operations. Youll be part of a supportive HSW team with variety in your day strong connection to site teams and the opportunity to make a tangible difference to the safety health and wellbeing of our people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide visible site-based HSW support across Barossa packaging and winery operations coaching leaders and teams on safe work practices.
  • Support hazard identification risk assessments incident investigations and the close-out of corrective actions.
  • Assist with contractor management emergency preparedness injury management and return-to-work activities.
  • Conduct workplace inspections safety observations field engagements and critical risk control verification activities.

  • Support the implementation of HSW initiatives standards and improvement activities using safety information to identify emerging issues and escalate concerns where required.

About You

You are a practical HSW professional who enjoys being close to operations and building trust with leaders and frontline teams. You bring a proactive organised and solutions-focused approach with the confidence to support day-to-day HSW activities while knowing when to escalate issues or seek support. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in helping teams understand risks follow safe systems of work and continuously improve how work is done.

To succeed in this role youll bring:

  • A Diploma in Work Health & Safety Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline with Return to Work Coordinator certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • 3-5 years experience in HSW roles within manufacturing winery or FMCG operational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting workplace inspections investigations risk assessments contractor management and corrective action follow-up.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation risk management practices and safety management systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement coaching and communication skills with the ability to influence and support leaders and frontline teams.
