HSE Lead
Job Summary
Based in Brisbane this role has national responsibility for Health Safety and Environment (HSE) across Australia and New Zealand supporting multiple sites and business areas.
As HSE Lead (ANZ) you will operate with Manager-level accountability partnering with Country and Functional Leaders to drive compliance manage risk and embed consistent HSE practices across the region.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery translating business priorities into practical HSE plans while building leadership capability and accountability for safe and sustainable operations.
What youll be doing
- Provide clear HSE leadership and direction to ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand legislation regulatory requirements and Rotork standards
- Develop implement and continuously improve HSE frameworks and management systems aligned to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 (as guiding standards)
- Translate organisational priorities into practical fit-for-purpose HSE plans that support operational delivery while effectively managing risk
- Lead serious incident investigations ensuring robust root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions
- Oversee risk management processes including risk assessments audits and site inspections to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
- Build leadership capability through coaching training and practical support reinforcing clear accountability for HSE outcomes
- Monitor HSE performance across ANZ providing insights trends and reporting to support leadership decision-making and governance requirements
- Partner with APAC and global HSE stakeholders to drive alignment and deliver consistent One Rotork outcomes Provide oversight and guidance on contractor management high-risk work controls and critical risk standards
What youll bring
Experience & capability
- 5 years experience in a senior HSE role with responsibility across multi-site operations within Australia (and ideally New Zealand)
- Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory frameworks (NZ experience advantageous)
- Demonstrated experience operating independently with end-to-end accountability including influencing senior stakeholders
- Experience implementing and maintaining HSE management systems aligned to ISO standards (45001 / 14001)
- Capability to translate strategy into clear practical actions that deliver operational outcomes

Qualifications :
- Relevant qualification in Health Safety or Environmental Management (or equivalent experience)
- NEBOSH Diploma Australian WHS qualifications or equivalent preferred
