Housekeeping Team Leader

A unique part-time (minimum guarantee 30 hours per week) opportunity as Housekeeping Team Leader has become available in our housekeeping leadership team.

Some of the things youll be doing include;

• Lead motivate and support housekeeping team members during daily operations.
• Allocate room assignments and monitor productivity to ensure efficient workflow opening and closing shifts.
• Inspect guest rooms corridors and public areas to ensure quality standards are consistently met to brand standards.
• Assist with training coaching and onboarding of new team members.
• Support the Housekeeping Manager with rostering attendance management and operational planning.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Manage guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with linen amenities and chemical inventory control.
• Support the team during peak periods and maintain a positive high-performing work environment.
• Foster a culture of teamwork accountability and exceptional service.
• Assisting the Housekeeping Management team in the day-to-day operations of all areas of the Housekeeping department.
• Communicating on a daily basis with the Housekeeping Management team and respective departments to ensure an effective flow of communication.
• Providing on the job training and inductions to support our energetic housekeeping team. 
• Briefing team members providing updates and key OHS updates.
• Logging lost property; assisting with guests requests and resolving guest complaints.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous housekeeping supervisory or team leadership experience within a hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and cleaning standards.
• Experience working in large hotels or high-volume accommodation environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• A passion for hospitality and guest service.
• Proven ability to lead coach and develop team members.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Full Working rights in Australia.

What were looking for

• Previous experience with training and leading a housekeeping team
• Previous experience using Opera Cloud HubOs Zambion (Ready Workforce) desirable.
• Excellent presentation interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player that leads by example.
• A keen eye for detail with a hands-on approach.
