About the role and where you will be working:
Located in the City of Kalamunda Jeremiah Donovan House caters for 65 residents and offers a full range of services including nursing care medication management personal care hospitality services and dementia support services. Residents also receive support from allied health professionals.
We are currently looking for a Hospitality Staff member to join our team at our Jeremiah Donovan House in Forrestfield WA. Youll be part of a team that plays a very important role in supporting the day to day running of our facility. Your working day can consist of cleaning kitchen and laundry duties.
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 0800-1500pm.
Your responsibilities will includebut not limited to:
- Contributing to a clean comfortable and homely environment for residents by maintaining all areas of the facility to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Supporting kitchen operations including basic food preparation dishwashing cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.
- Assisting with meal service such as plating meals delivering food to residents and ensuring dining areas are set up and cleared efficiently.
- Assisting with ordering and restocking cleaning laundry and household supplies as needed.

Youre a natural multitasker with strong timemanagement skills and you thrive in environments where care consistency and attention to detail truly matter. You feel at home in a kitchen setting and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing and comfort of our residents.
To be considered for this role youll need:
Minimum 1 year hospitality experience ideally within a kitchen or foodservice environment.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards including safe food handling and cleaning practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully with residents families and staff.
Reliable and self motivated work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of infection prevention and control in an aged care setting.
Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records when handling food cleaning tasks or stock.
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends public holidays and short notice coverage when required.
