Horticulturalist Gardener

We are looking for an experienced Horticulturalist to join our team and help maintain high-quality gardens and green spaces. This hands-on role will see you applying your horticultural knowledge across a range of garden maintenance activities while ensuring sites are maintained to a high standard.

• Undertake horticultural and garden maintenance including pruning hedging weeding planting mulching and general garden care.
• Identify plant health issues weeds pests and diseases and undertake appropriate treatment and maintenance.
• Apply horticultural knowledge to support the health presentation and ongoing development of gardens and landscaped areas.
• Operate hand and powered equipment including hedgers blowers whipper snippers push mowers and ride-on equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with planting soil preparation fertilising and ongoing plant establishment.
• Carry out maintenance activities in accordance with horticultural best practice and site requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure work areas are kept clean safe and organised.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

• Certificate III in Horticulture Parks & Gardens or a related qualification is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in horticulture gardening landscape maintenance or a related field.
• Strong plant identification and general horticultural knowledge.
• Experience with pruning planting weed management and general garden maintenance.
• Confident using a range of horticultural tools machinery and equipment.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work including lifting bending squatting kneeling and standing for extended periods.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
