About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Safety Advisor to join our Melbourne team reporting to the Safety Manager. Youll coordinate health and safety systems across the project identify hazards assess risk and recommend controls to the construction team. This role gives you the chance to influence safety outcomes at scale working closely with project leaders subcontractors and site teams to embed safety as a core value across the workplace. Youll play a hands-on part in shaping a safer way of working for everyone on site.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate safety systems and documentation across the project
  • Identify hazards and assess risk for high-risk activities
  • Report incidents injuries and hazards promptly
  • Recommend and implement safety controls with the construction team
  • Support supervisors and teams to meet safety targets
  • Investigate and debrief lost time injuries and critical incidents
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety and sustainability practice

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Current Provide First Aid (Level 2) certificate
  • Construction Induction Training (White Card) face-to-face
  • Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card or ability to obtain
  • Extensive experience in safety compliance and risk systems
