We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager Finance to provide strategic financial leadership in a dynamic high-performance organisation.

This executive-level role is ideal for a commercially astute finance leader who excels in driving operational discipline influencing strategy and leading transformation in complex regulated or project-driven sectors.

Working from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land your role purpose will be

  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to shape strategy drive growth and manage risk.

  • Lead planning forecasting and reporting providing insight to enhance performance and support decision-making.

  • Modernise the finance function through automation process improvement and shared services optimisation.

  • Work cross-functionally to align financial priorities with operational and commercial objectives.

  • Build and lead a high-performing team fostering accountability innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure strong governance controls and compliance across all finance activities.

On day one in this role well expect you to bring the following skills experience and behaviours:

  • CA CPA or equivalently qualified with executive experience in roles such asGM Finance Head of Finance Finance Director or Divisional CFO.

  • Experience in complex mission-critical sectors such as defence software systems and integrations will be highly valued.

  • Strong commercial acumen including expertise incontract profitability program finance and risk management

  • A demonstrated ability to leadfinance transformation including process improvement automation and digital enablement

  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across executive operational and corporate stakeholders

  • A track record of building capable teams and fostering a culture of accountability continuous improvement and high performance

Good to Know

The U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are applicable and as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

A NV1 Defence security clearance is required for this role; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
