The Opportunity

Meridian Agriculture is proud to partner with Ballarat Tractors to recruit a dynamic and people focused General Manager to lead the next phase of growth.

This is a pivotal leadership role with full responsibility for driving operational performance strengthening team capability and delivering sustained business growth across multiple locations.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be based at the new Ballarat facility with regular travel required to Terang and some travel to Melbourne Tractors and Brisvegas Machinery in Brisbane.

You will play a key role in shaping strategy building culture and ensuring consistent execution across sales service parts and support functions. This is a hands-on leadership position where presence accountability and clear communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Leading overall branch operations across Ballarat and Terang
• Driving revenue growth across machinery sales parts and service divisions
• Building and developing high-performing teams across multiple departments
• Strengthening customer relationships and expanding the businesss regional footprint
• Implementing operational improvements to increase efficiency and profitability
• Working closely with the Managing Director on strategic planning and execution
• Ensuring a strong safety culture and high standards across all operations
• Representing the business within the broader agricultural and construction network

About You

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial and leadership skills with solid experience in agriculture or machinery sector operations. This role suits someone with a background in farm management agricultural machinery sales branch management or senior operational leadership within the ag sector.

You will also demonstrate:

Strong existing relationships within the agriculture sector in Ballarat and Western Victoria

• A practical hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead from the front
• A proven track record of driving business growth and operational improvement
• Strong people leadership skills with a focus on accountability and culture
• The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
