Garment Technician Own Brand

We are currently looking for a Garment Technician to join our Own Brand team.

Whats involved...

• Creating initial Tech Packs in collaboration with design for sample development including detailed garment construction instructions measurements and fabric requirements.
• Measure garments and provide feedback on quality & make ensuring all suppliers are adhering to THE ICONICS fit & make standards.
• Organise & lead fit sessions ensuring consistent fit & sizing.
• Support the designers by providing expert knowledge of fabrics garment construction and performance
• Liaising daily with suppliers in China in regard to fit comments re-fits fabrics finishes and grading
• Meet CP deadlines
• Approving fabric test reports
• Final bulk garment inspection approvals in accordance to set guidelines
• Analyse styles with high return rate to continuously improve fit & quality
• Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency reduce costs and maintain high-quality standard

About you...

• 3-4 years experience in a similar role ideally in the fast fashion industry
• Tertiary education in design pattern making and grading is essential
• Strong knowledge of garment production processes including pattern making fit quality control and fabric testing
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality
• Experience working across a variety of fabrics & categories is essential
• Knowledge of Excel and Outlook necessary
• Excellent understanding of critical path and timelines with amazing time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
