The Fleet Asset Management team is responsible for delivering strategic aircraft induction transition and fleet renewal projects across the Qantas Group. Were seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Fleet Asset Coordinator to help drive delivery excellence across some of our most significant fleet programs. 

In this role youll be responsible for strengthening project controls coordinating procurement and supplier activities maintaining governance frameworks and ensuring project risks schedules budgets and dependencies remain visible and effectively managed. Working closely with Engineering Finance Supply Chain and external partners youll play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of complex aviation projects. 

Youll be responsible for: 

  • Maintaining project governance controls schedules reporting and risk management processes 
  • Coordinating purchasing supplier activity and logistics requirements across fleet programs 
  • Managing project documentation budgets risks issues and delivery milestones 
  • Preparing executive-level reporting and recommendations to support decision-making 
  • Identifying emerging risks and developing practical recovery solutions 
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders suppliers and project teams 
  • Supporting aircraft induction fleet transition and fleet renewal initiatives across the Qantas Group. 

What youll bring: 

  • 7 years significant experience in aviation project coordination project controls procurement asset management or a similar project-based environment 
  • Strong governance planning and reporting capabilities within complex multi-stakeholder programs 
  • Commercial and financial acumen including procurement and supplier management experience 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to influence and challenge appropriately 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify risks before they impact delivery 
  • Exceptional organisation and attention to detail 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills 
  • Experience within aviation engineering infrastructure or highly regulated industries will be highly regarded.
