Role Overview

This is a highly exciting role within a fast-growing technology-enabled insurance business which has been posting significant year on year growth and currently has around $100 million in premiums.

Having brought the finance function in-house to support their ambitious goals for rapid growth they have a number of new products channels scheduled for FY27.

With technology being at the forefront of the business this client is looking to add a Financial Analyst to their team to support them with efficiencies through automation and drive process improvements.

This role needs someone who is an advanced level MS Excel user with exposure to Power Query and an understanding of Power Bi.

This is a visible impactful role which for the right candidate offers a route to a longer-term Finance career and potential route to Management in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Utilisation of systems technology to reconcile premium claims and payment data
  • Support month-end close balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting
  • Analyse financial and operational data identifying trends and opportunities
  • Support product launches and integration of new products into finance and reporting processes
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support strong finance controls
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools models and dashboards

Candidate Profile

This role is a brilliant opportunity for a candidate who is comfortable in utilising financial systems to drive process improvements and automation. The right candidate for this role will also have an appreciation of accounting operations and have excellent communication skills as well as being able to demonstrate a positive attitude. A passion for continuous improvement is expected with the candidate having advanced MS Excel skills and examples of automation from their career history. There is also a longer-term potential opportunity to move into a managerial role within Finance as the business further grows.
