Were seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager youll play an integral role in delivering accurate financial reporting ensuring statutory compliance supporting strategic decision-making and partnering with leaders across the business to drive commercial outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone with a degree in Accounting Commerce or Finance and at least three years experience in a similar position. Youll have strong technical accounting knowledge excellentanalytical skills confidence using financial systems and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. What youll be doing:

As our Financial Accountantyoull be responsible for supporting the financial performance and integrity ofthe business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and delivering accurate timely financial reports
• Managing month-end and year-end close processes including journals accruals prepayments and reconciliations
• Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting systems
• Preparing and lodging BAS payroll tax and other statutory compliance obligations
• Maintaining fixed asset registers depreciation schedules and capital expenditure reporting
• Supporting budgeting forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Assisting with audit preparation and year-end financial reporting
• Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
• Supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions to ensure timely collections and supplier payments
• Assisting with payroll reconciliations superannuation and employee-related reporting
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes systems and internal controls
• Partnering with Project Managers and business leaders to provide financial guidance and commercial insight
• Supporting the wider Finance team during peak periods and business growth initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role youll ideally have:

• A degree in Accounting Commerce or Finance
• A minimum of three years experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial systems (experience with Xero and Employment Hero will be highly regarded)
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive solutions-focused mindset and a desire to continuously improve processes
