The role

We are seeking two detail-oriented and customer-focusedFinance Officers to join our Client Accountingteam within Financial Operations both on full-time6-month fixed-term contracts based inSydney with the possibility of extension.

These roles have been created to provide additional supportduring a period of significant business transformation includingthe implementation of a new global time capture system and broaderfinance systems initiatives.

Reporting to the Financial Systems and Operations Manager youwill play an important role in delivering a professional andaccurate finance service to both internal and external as a key point of contact for lawyers legal assistants andbusiness services teams you will provide support across billingeBilling matter management and finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide finance billing and matter management support to stakeholders across the firm.
• Manage client and matter administration ensuring information is maintained accurately and in accordance with firm procedures.
• Coordinate eBilling activities including system maintenance uploads vendor liaison and issue resolution.
• Set up and maintain client billing arrangements special rates and matter information.
• Support billing enquiries WIP management activities and general finance-related requests.
• Deliver training and support on billing processes time recording and finance systems.
• Maintain finance procedures and documentation while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Support finance projects and broader operational initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Experience in billing eBilling finance operations or a similar finance support role.
• Experience in a law firm professional services or financial services environment will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate high-quality work.
• Knowledge of Aderant Expert or a similar practice management system.
• Confidence using spreadsheets particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with time-based accounting systems.
