Aurizon is seeking a commercially minded Finance Lead Revenue to join our Finance Partnering Bulk team. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing finance professional looking to broaden their influence lead business improvement initiatives and partner with senior stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes across the business.

In this role youll move beyond traditional reporting and analysis using data-driven insights to influence decision making optimise business performance and identify opportunities that maximise value while minimising risk. Youll also have the opportunity to coach and develop others while building strong relationships across the organisation.

What youll be doing

  • Deliver insightful financial operational and commercial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Lead revenue reporting and performance analysis for key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the accuracy completeness and timely delivery of revenue and invoicing processes identifying and resolving discrepancies where required.
  • Drive strong financial controls and governance to support revenue integrity and minimise commercial risk.
  • Identify and drive process improvement and business optimisation initiatives from concept through to implementation including technology system enhancement.
  • Partner with leaders across the business to influence outcomes and support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide coaching guidance and capability development within the team.
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify anomalies resolve issues and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • A proactive and inquisitive approach to mastering and improving technology systems.
  • Experience translating complex financial information into clear business insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with experience delivering business or process improvements.
  • The ability to influence outcomes and build effective relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Experience coaching mentoring or developing others.
