About the project and opportunity:
Acciona as part of the ActivUS Alliance is nearing the delivery phase of The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project which will double the number of rail tracks and upgrade stations for a 20 kilometer section of the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines between Kuraby a suburb south of Brisbanes CBD and Beenleigh a suburb of Logan City.
The Finance Administrator reports to the Project Finance Manager and is responsible for ensuring supporting all finance and administrative aspects are conducted in an efficient and timely manner and with a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Docket Management. Perform and coordinate the daily tracking of project data (i.e. plant labour subcontractors). This requires you to monitor and maintain the Companys in-house project management & docket system.
- Support payroll by monitoring and follow up on the daily recording of timesheets by Project Supervisors as well as directly performing timesheet entries.
- High volume accounts payable- including management of AP email inboxes for multiple projects in delivery following up project teams for invoice approval and cost codes and liaising with suppliers to correct any discrepancies.
- Raising and distributing purchase orders in a timely fashion
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
- Enter payable invoices and prepare banking files.
- Assist with preparing financial reports for the Executive team and government submissions.
- Maintain staff records and support onboarding of new staff.
- Respond to stakeholder account enquiries with professionalism and care.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferably in a construction environment is highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive team-oriented attitude.
- Familiarity with accounting software and payroll systems.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
