About the Role
As a Chef you will be responsible for preparing cooking and presenting high-quality meals in line with menu standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations food quality and excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes according to menu requirements
Assist with food preparation plating and presentation
Maintain consistency in food quality taste and portion control
Follow food safety hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
Keep kitchen areas equipment and workstations clean and organised
Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff during service
Support the Head Chef/management with daily kitchen operations
Requirements
Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality preferred
Previous experience as a Chef in a hotel pub restaurant or commercial kitchen
Strong knowledge of food preparation cooking methods and kitchen operations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Availability to work weekdays weekends evenings and public holidays as required
Must have the correct rights to work in Australia

AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification OR minimum 35 years relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation baking processes and quality control Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
