Wild Soul Bake House is a well-established local business producing fresh high-quality bread rolls pastries and other baked goods for the local community. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Baker to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing producing and finishing a range of bread roll and pastry products in a commercial production environment. This role requires strong hands-on experience in dough preparation mixing moulding proofing oven operation product finishing food safety and daily production coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to:
Check the cleanliness of equipment work areas and premises before production begins
Check the quality of raw ingredients and measure ingredients accurately
Mix knead mature cut mould and shape dough and pastry products
Prepare and handle fillings and other product components where required
Coordinate the forming loading baking unloading de-panning and cooling of products
Monitor oven temperatures baking times and product appearance to ensure quality and consistency
Operate commercial equipment used for mixing rolling moulding and cutting dough
Glaze buns pastries and other finished products where required
Empty clean and grease trays tins and other cooking equipment
Maintain food safety hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
Assist with stock rotation ingredient storage and waste control
Follow production schedules to meet daily customer and business demand
Maintain a clean organised and safe production area at all times
Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
Relevant trade qualification or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 2 years of full-time experience as a Baker or in a similar commercial baking role
Strong knowledge of dough preparation proofing shaping and oven operation
Ability to follow recipes production schedules and quality standards
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
Ability to work early mornings weekends and public holidays where required
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable honest and hardworking attitude
Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced production environment
