Position: Executive Assistant
Location: Canberra
Start date: July 2026
Duration: 6 months with potential to extend
Pay rate: $91955 to $99795 plus 15.4% superannuation
Security requirements: Must hold a Baseline security clearance or above
Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and organisational support to a senior executive and division within a Government environment. This role requires exceptional communication skills strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate information flow between senior management and stakeholders
- Review incoming correspondence prioritise actions and coordinate responses
- Prepare routine correspondence briefing materials meeting papers and executive documentation
- Conduct research and prepare draft responses for executive materials
- Arrange meetings venues agendas and distribute meeting papers
- Provide minute taking and maintain records in approved formats
- Coordinate executive assistant support activities across the division
- Deliver high-level administrative support including procurement budgeting and records management
- Identify and contribute to business improvement initiatives within the division
Experience/requirements:
- Demonstrated experience providing executive or high-level administrative support
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience liaising with a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to prepare professional correspondence and briefing materials
- Experience coordinating meetings and taking minutes
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening including a police check
- Must hold a Baseline security clearance or above
