Job Summary

The Ethics Administration Officer is a member of the Ethics Integrity and Governance team within the Office for Research. Under general direction this position provides administrative and operational coordination to support the delivery of the activities of the team contributing to efficient service delivery across human research ethics animal ethics and research governance functions.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate ethics review processes submissions and committee activities.
  • Provide advice and support to researchers on ethics-related enquiries and systems.
  • Manage workflow allocation and monitoring to ensure compliant and timely outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain ethics integrity and governance resources and training materials.
  • Produce reports and data insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to ethics integrity and governance projects and stakeholder engagement activities.

About you
The successful candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training/education.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in administration coordination or operational support within a complex environment.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to provide advice and manage enquiries effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating workflows processes or submissions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills including the preparation of reports guidance materials or online content.
  • Proficiency in using business systems and digital tools including reporting and data management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Desirable:

  • Experience in research ethics research integrity governance or a higher education/research environment.
  • Familiarity with research management or ethics management systems.

This is a fixed term (six months) full-time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith Universitys campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full-time base salary for a HEW Level 5 is in the range $82415 - $92456 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $96426 - $108174 per annum.
