This role will provide the successful applicant with theopportunity to influence a broad range of environmental issuesthrough undertaking environmental impact assessments and providingenvironment advice particularly as part of the strategic andstatutory planning process. The successful applicant will also beresponsible for managing specific environmental projects includingthe preparation of environmental management plans strategies andpolicies.

Demonstrated experience and a strong knowledge of bothenvironmental and planning legislation and guidelines willcompliment your ability to fulfil this challenging role. The idealcandidate will be a team player with excellent communicationskills and a clear analytical mind strong problem solvingabilities and advanced interpersonal skills.

To be considered for this role you must address thefollowing selection criteria as part of yourapplication:

1. Comprehensive understanding of planning legislation and its relationship to the environmental legislation and/or environmental legislation and its applications through the planning system.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of the preparation and review of environmental management plans reports strategies and policies.
3. Sound knowledge of environmental impact assessment in accordance with Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
4. Considerable experience in land use planning environmental management strategic planning and/or environmental planning at local state or federal level.

This position offers a salary from $99138 to$106623 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).In addition we offer:

• 12% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
