As an Employment Coach within Mission Australias Inclusive Employment Australia Service youll walk alongside people living with disability injury or health conditions as they take steps toward sustainable employment and greater independence.

Working from a strengths-based participant-led approach youll support individuals to overcome barriers build confidence develop job readiness skills and connect with inclusive employers who recognise their potential. This is a rewarding opportunity to create lasting change helping people achieve employment goals while contributing to more inclusive communities across Australia

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Build authentic respectful relationships with participants as their primary point of contact throughout their employment journey
• Support participants through engagement pre-employment employment and post-employment phases of the program
• Complete assessments to identify strengths skills experience and barriers to employment
• Develop individualised employment and goal plans aligned to participant aspirations and needs
• Provide practical job readiness support including resumes cover letters interview preparation and job search strategies
• Facilitate group activities that build participant confidence capability and work-life skills
• Advocate for participants with employers government agencies and community support services
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local employers to create employment opportunities and workplace inclusion
• Ensure accurate participant records case notes reporting and compliance activities are completed within required timeframes
• Contribute to service development community engagement activities and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build productive relationships with tenants contractors consultants government agencies and internal stakeholders

Requirements for success

• Certificate III or IV in Community Services Employment Services Career Counselling or a related discipline or a willingness to work towards achieving one
• Strong customer service experience with the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships
• Experience supporting people facing barriers to employment education or personal development and working with people living with disability and other vulnerable community member
• Ability to manage a caseload prioritise competing tasks and achieve performance objectives
• Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and record management capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse data and prepare reports
• Consistently achieve monthly employment placement and outcome targets supporting positive employment outcomes for participants
• Willingness to travel outreach services within Canterbury- Bankstown area
• Current Driver Licence and WWCC required
