Electrical Testing & Commissioning Technician Rail

Could you be our next Test Tech on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract at Newport we are looking for

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct train inspections and preparation activities upon arrival at the commissioning site.
• Perform routine commissioning and support static and dynamic validation testing in line with approved procedures.
• Complete testing activities and sign off relevant test specifications to meet delivery schedules.
• Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and warranty phases.
• Prepare and issue accurate test reports including documentation of failures and defects.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to address quality reliability and performance all commissioning and testing activities are completed safely efficiently and in compliance with project requirements.

• Hold a Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Strong understanding of train systems architecture and electrical/mechanical sub-systems.
• Ability to interpret and work from test procedures electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent technical troubleshooting fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in preparing accurate test reports and maintaining detailed commissioning records.
