Job Summary
CrewSELECT is seeking Electrical Trade Assistants and Assemblers to join a leading manufacturer of industrial switchboards switch rooms and electrical enclosure systems for major data centre projects.
These are ongoing workshop-based opportunities offering immediate starts with a well-established company in Thomastown.
- Assemblers: $38/hr penalties
- Electrical Trade Assistants: $42/hr penalties
- Monday to Friday 6:00am2:00pm
- Immediate starts with ongoing work
- Modern workshop and supportive team
Working within the production team youll assemble switchboards and switch room components for large-scale data centre projects.
- Assemble industrial switchboards and switch room components
- Cut bend and install heavy copper busbar
- Read and interpret assembly drawings
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Maintain high-quality workmanship
This role is ideal for experienced Electrical TAs or overseas qualified electricians with switchboard experience.
- Install heavy copper busbar systems
- Read electrical plans and schematics
- Assist with switchboard assembly
- Support qualified tradespeople
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop
- Experience in switchboard or metal assembly
- Hand and power tool experience
- Copper/busbar experience highly regarded
- Basic maths and measuring skills
- Own PPE and basic hand tools
- Switchboard or electrical workshop experience
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Copper/busbar experience preferred
- Overseas electrical trade qualifications highly regarded
- Own PPE and basic hand tools
