Electrical Supervisor Commercial Construction

Perth Metro NOR & SOR $72/hr Flat Labour Hire OR Permanent Vehicle

CrewSELECT is partnering with an established electrical contractor to recruit an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee commercial construction projects across the Perth metropolitan area.

This opportunity would suit a hands-on supervisor with a strong commercial construction electrical background who is comfortable running small teams coordinating day-to-day site activities and working closely with builders and other trades to keep projects moving.

Current projects are underway across Yanchep Forrestdale Redcliffe and Jandakot with future projects located throughout the Perth metro area. You must therefore be flexible to work across both NOR and SOR locations as projects require.

There are two potential employment options depending on the successful candidate:

Labour Hire

• $72.00 per hour flat
• Opportunity to commence through CrewSELECT
• Commercial construction projects across Perth Metro

Permanent Direct Employment

• Up to $60.00 per hour penalties
• Company vehicle provided
• Permanent employment directly with the electrical contractor
• Long-term project pipeline

As Electrical Supervisor you will take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of electrical works on commercial construction projects.

You will be responsible for:

• Supervising electricians apprentices and trade assistants on site
• Running smaller commercial construction teams
• Coordinating daily electrical activities and allocating work
• Conducting pre-starts toolbox talks and daily planning
• Coordinating labour materials equipment and subcontractors
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings specifications and construction programs
• Working closely with builders and other trades
• Monitoring productivity quality and project progress
• Identifying potential delays and communicating requirements to Project Managers
• Coordinating testing commissioning inspections and defect rectification
• Ordering materials and managing site stock
• Attending site and project meetings as required

You will take a lead role in maintaining a safe and compliant worksite including:

• Ensuring works comply with WA Electrical Regulations and Australian Standards
• Leading site safety and promoting a strong safety culture
• Conducting site inspections and hazard identification
• Managing SWMS JSAs permits and relevant compliance documentation
• Ensuring hazards incidents and near misses are appropriately reported
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site presentation

We are looking for an experienced commercial electrical professional who can confidently take ownership of a project and lead a team on site.

You will ideally have:

• Current WA Electrical Licence
• Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor Leading Hand or Senior Electrician
• Strong commercial construction experience
• Experience leading and coordinating small electrical teams
• Background working on projects such as:
  • Shopping centres
  • Schools
  • Warehouses
  • Office fit-outs
  • Tilt-panel developments
  • Other commercial construction projects
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical regulations
• Strong leadership organisation and communication skills
• Ability to liaise professionally with builders clients consultants inspectors and suppliers
• Current White Card
• Current Drivers Licence
• Flexibility to work across NOR and SOR Perth Metro projects
