The Opportunity
Orrcon Manufacturing is looking for an Electrical Reliability Engineer to join the Engineering Team in Salisbury. Orrcon Manufacturing is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.
In this business-critical role you will provide hands-on electrical reliability services to our production teams who operate within a continuous manufacturing environment. Your contribution will enable improved machine safety uptime and performance so we can continue to make and deliver world-class product to our valued customers.

What Will You Do
Working in a supportive environment you will contribute to the safety of our people the quality of our product and the reliability of our equipment. You will achieve this by:
- reviewing equipment performance availability and breakdowns to identify reliability improvement plans
- developing and updating maintenance lifecycle plans for all critical equipment
- champion automation control system optimisation and functional safety initiatives to improve equipment reliability machine safety and operational performance
- continually seeking opportunities to improve our maintenance strategies through various projects
- investigating electrical Safety Health & Environmental incidents identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- assisting in troubleshooting day-to-day problems and recommending simple and robust solutions
More About You
Being a qualified Electrical Reliability Engineer you will bring:
- a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor or Diploma) or trade background with relevant industry experience
- relevant experience in equipment reliability focused on life-cycle maintenance
- PLC knowledge (e.g. Siemens S7 TIA WinCC Flex) and fault-finding skills is highly regarded
- experience in AC DC servo motors and drives (e.g. Siemens SEW) is highly regarded.
- proficiency in automation and control systems is highly regarded
