Role/s: 3 x EL2 Solution Architects

The EL2 Solution Architect (Labour Hire) is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex design work that delivers quality outcomes across the technology functions of the NDIA.

The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management functions working collaboratively with Enterprise Architecture functions projects and other stakeholders. The position requires exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level architectural advice and operational support aligned to industry best practice cyber security considerations and evolving solutions.

The EL2 Solution Architect (Labour Hire) is required to coordinate and assume responsibility and technical ownership for varied activities and sensitive projects. This includes producing architecture artefacts detailed designs and providing direction and guidance to the development and engineering teams as well are confidently representing these at various peer-review and approval forums. The position leads planning workshops and is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and where required will represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIAs interests across a range of forums

This is a key role within the agency providing senior technical leadership for the ongoing enhancement of the core technology platforms that support the Agency systems. Working with the business this role will be responsible for delivering cohesive solution architecture and designs across the Digital Enrolments Access and Payments (DEAP) domain as well as other parallel priority Agency initiatives. The key to performing in this role will be the ability to facilitate technical business and procurement teams as well as the broader architecture community to create explain and deliver solutions and complex designs that are fit for purpose technically sound robust and secure aligned to the agencies broader charter and technology and cyber security strategies.

Key duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering high quality solution designs and architecture that are fit for business purpose and ensure solutions align with NDIA goals and objectives.
  • Development ownership and accountability for creation and maintaining all relevant documentation pertaining to the solution.
  • Engage with the business to understand the tactical and strategic objectives and requirements.
  • Engage with the enterprise architects solution leads business representatives project managers development team and other relevant stakeholders to ensure solution alignment across domains.
  • Provide technical oversight and facilitate complex issues resolution arising during project delivery.
  • Represent the solution throughout all governance councils and processes.
  • Consult with the broader team of SMEs and architects to ensure the depth of knowledge and experience within the agency is leveraged to its full extent.
